Ubuntu package
Build an architecture-native .deb from the checkout with:
packaging/ubuntu/build-deb.sh
The script builds the Wo compositor and portal binaries, builds the Electron
application and its DMA-BUF addon, builds comraw, and stages the Electron
runtime with the package. It writes the package to target/ubuntu-package/.
Set WO_PACKAGE_VERSION to override the version or WO_DEB_BUILD_ROOT to
choose another output directory.
Build dependencies are Rust/Cargo, Bun, a C/C++ toolchain, dpkg-dev, and the
development headers for libinput, libudev, libseat, libdrm, GBM, EGL, Wayland,
PipeWire, and XKBCommon. The build also needs network access for locked Bun
dependencies and Electron's Linux runtime archive.
Install the result with sudo apt install ./target/ubuntu-package/wo_*.deb.
The package installs the Wo Wayland session, its xdg-desktop-portal
implementation, and a launcher that selects the bundled Electron runtime.
