# Upstream engine patches
|

|
|
Wo keeps its Electron integration patch against Electron `v45.0.0`
|
|
(`54f961b44b83e4ece81065ab60a182fd0c38c01e`) in `wo-electron-v45.patch`.
|
|
The CEF patch targets source commit
|
|
`e537569ecda2e3f23ffdac559ecf7f80b8e59467` and is stored in `wo-cef.patch`.
|
|
|
|
The Electron patch removes the old 240 FPS offscreen ceiling; Wo supplies each
|
|
Electron window's current output refresh rate to `webContents.setFrameRate()`.
|
|
The CEF patch prevents the compositor interval from rounding to zero at high
|
|
rates and documents updating the per-browser rate when a window changes
|
|
displays. Both engines already expose shared/native-pixmap offscreen callbacks;
|
|
Wo's native addon transfers their DMA-BUF descriptors using `SCM_RIGHTS`.
|
|
|
|
Apply both patches to their corresponding source checkouts with:
|
|
|
|

|
The Electron and CEF repositories need their matching Chromium source and
|
|
toolchains to build. These patches were reviewed against the checked-out source
|
|
but a full Chromium/Electron/CEF build was not run.
|
